The Arkansas Century Farm Award Program of the Arkansas Department of Agriculture, honors and recognizes families who have owned and farmed the same land for at least 100 years. Bell Farm, established in 1878, received this award in 2014.
The Bell Farm has experienced- and survived - an array of discriminatory actions over the years.
Founded in 2007, Bell Community Services completed projects in St. Louis, MO, Pine Bluff AR, Bolivar County, MS by 2017. It now has a new vision. .

The Plant a Seed Summer Youth Garden Project was organized by Bell Community Services, authorized by Superintendent Henry Phillips. The project purpose was to introduce middle and high school students to the ideas of capitalism, economics, agriculture and workforce development through the planting of a summer garden.
Our 5-year vision is that low-income, public school students will progress from pre-college (6th grade - 12th grade) through college degree through post- college to compete for high-paying jobs in the multi-billion dollar agriscience sector of our economy.
